As Easter approaches and the season begins in earnest it is time to start thinking about competitions. The last cup competition of the current membership season is the Easter Cup played between 18th-21st April. It's not a drawn competition so you must have played in a minimum of 3 handicap competitions since last May to qualify.
I want to run an idea by you all from Guy Hall, one of our members who really cares about our course. He recently played at a club were members were encouraged to take a hole and be the guardian of it each time they played. For example you could take the 2nd hole you could pick up any litter left behind, rake the greenside bunkers if they needed doing, and repair any pitch marks left by the uneducated players who should have done it in the first place!
I understand it's not your job to do this but the greenkeepers have to finish early on a weekend and in the ideal world all golfers should take care of any damage they have caused, but we don't.
I personally think it's a great idea so if you're interested please contact me and with a bit of luck we can get 36 interested members to at least cover the Greenwood and trial the idea this season? Please let me know your thoughts by clicking here

The annual Men vs Seniors match is the 22nd of May for a midday tee off. It's well worth the afternoon off as the seniors are a great bunch and they will give any team a good game. If your interested send Keith Dumper a message here and get a lift up. These seniors certainly know how to celebrate a win or a loss for that matter!
The ladies section also have a full schedule with a competition every two weeks for the coming season. The list is up in the ladies changing room.
