Thank you to all of you that took the time to hear the presentation from Murray about his plans for the development of the courses at East Horton. Undoubtedly Murray and Daniel are experts in their field, I think all they need now is time and a little patience from us, and the weather gods to play ball and we will be a changed club.
The annual men's section vs the 'dad's army' seniors section is on Friday, 22 May. Alan Tootle is the match captain for the men, can you contact Alan (07826538503) or put your name down on the sheet in the men's changing room if you're interested in playing. It's always good fun and the seniors are the past masters at sledging and good banter.
Pro's tip
Now were are in competition mode now I have few pointers on achieving a good posture and address position.
Setup is one of the fundamentals you must try and get right, a fault at this point will manifest itself in a swing fault. The following tips should give you a guide to the correct posture;
Balance and angles is what you have to achieve before you start your swing. In the picture here you can see some common setup faults - setting back on your heels is the first no-no. The weight needs to be towards the front of your feet, at the end of your laces would be a good position.
Distance between you and the end of the club seems simple but this flaw can ruin a good swing path and cause a big loss in power.
Maybe the hardest position to achieve is the spine angle. If you need help with us you can always speak to the professional staff, however one tip that may help is keep your chin up! It may sound very simple but your address must look athletic and the comfortable position probably isn't the correct one!

Take a look at your diaries and see if you can make the Cobra Demo Day coming up. It's on Tuesday, 5 May from 2pm - 6pm, there's no pressure to buy just come and try.
