Another busy week at the club as we prepare for the season with the Marwell and Parkland being cored and dressed, the gods have been kind as the conditions were near perfect.
As things are looking up weather wise the winter wheel policy will end on the 31st March but we will have to react if there is any prolonged rain in April.

Last week's springtime maintenance programme consisting of hollow-coring and its associated works to the Greenwood Course went very well indeed. We have now hollow-cored, heavily top-dressed and fed each green. Thank you for your patience while these vital works were being completed and we are looking forward to reaping the benefits in the summer.
You may also notice that we have stripped and are resurrecting the disused Green at the bottom of our driving range. This is part of a long term project to significantly improve our 1st hole. There are many options with regards to how we will play this new Green and we haven’t yet decided ourselves but it’s an extremely exciting project indeed.
Exciting news...appointment of permanent Head Green Keeper!
On an even more exciting note, the General Manager has recently agreed terms with Daniel Turner as our full time, permanent, Head Green Keeper who commences his contract with East Horton on 1 April.
Daniel worked at Sunningdale for in excess of 20 years progressing his way from Trainee Green Keeper up the echelons to Deputy Head Green Keeper, then Acting Head Green Keeper when Murray Long vacated the job role. Dan is extremely qualified in all aspects of green keeping and his aim is to become a recognised course manager on a top course. Maintaining the highest standards, where he can use his experience to see our courses forever progress.
First demo day of the season is with Cobra on Tuesday, 5 May 2-6pm. Booking slots are for 30 mins and are totally FREE!
