Captain's Charity Cup After me telling you about Victor Lau's son being a potential talent, his father Victor proved it is all in the genes winning the Captain's Charity Cup. Vic and I have spent a bit of time together on the range and course so well done! The auction on the day raised £2,200 for the charity, Hampshire Hospice (previously Countess Mountbatten). Our auctioneer, Ray Graydon was on good form on the day and he managed to auction off almost every item. Many thanks to all that took part. This picture is of Mark Gowers from Hampshire Hospice receiving a cheque for £610.00 from Jackie Adrian and Sherry, who walked from Winchester to Eastbourne to help raise money for the charity. In the men's competition, I half expected high scoring with the greens but no scoring was very low Division three: 3rd John Preston nett 66. Conrad's tuition helping there, 2nd Sam Marlow 66 and 1st Geoff Elsom 65. Division two: 3rd Richard Hemming 65, 2nd Chris Cox 64 and 1st Robert Goodyear 64. Division one: 3rd Nigel Shephard 69, 2nd Ben Stanger 69 and 1st James Hearnden 68. |
