Only a few days left to go before we get to the shortest day of the year on 21st December and slowly claw some light back each day.
The shop and course is only shut for Christmas Day, plenty of time to get some last minute presents or lesson vouchers
The seniors section again have surpassed themselves with a fantastic captain's charity effort.
The cheque was presented to James Mudie of The Rainbow Centre (Fareham). The cheque was presented by the Seniors Captain, Keith Skilton, and was for a total sum of £4,230. The money was raised throughout the year from members of the seniors section of East Horton Golf Club by raffles, auctions, donations and competitions.
As from the 1st January 2015 you will not be able to play in a handicap qualifing competition with a close family member, unless you have an unrelated marker playing in your group.
Poor Conrad has had yet another knee op number 4 on the same knee so he wont be around the club until Christmas.
Christmas has come early for our members…
In our continuing mission to make vast improvements to all elements of East Horton, it is with great pleasure and anticipation that we announce how we intend to drive the development of our courses to the next level and beyond. From January onwards we are thrilled to have secured the services of Murray Long to oversee and assist in the direction, maintenance and management of both courses. If you are not familiar with Murray you will be interested to know that he has 30 years of green keeping experience, most recently spending 9 years at the famous Sunningdale Golf Club as Courses and Estates Manager.
Over the next week or so, we will be sending you some further information about what is planned and we know you will be as excited as us about what this could mean to East Horton.
