Time for some greens maintenance...

A busy week ahead for the Green Keepers as this week the Greenwood has to be cored. No one likes it but it’s a job that simply has to be done.

When Dan first came, we made this short video about the process; since this, the club has brought the latest bit of kit that actually picks up the cores making the job much faster.

Competition news

Parkland

The scoring in the Parkland was again very good. In Division three, Richard Boyland had a great score of 39 points. Division two was won by Paul Elkins with 37 points but a special mention must go to Rob Cox who is now down to 2.6 with his 39 points to win Division one.

According to my maths, Rob has had over 40 rounds in the 70s this year and incredible feat of consistency.

The BIG fight...

All things being well, I will be in a big fight next weekend when Michael "the problem McKinson" defends his WBO European Welterweight title - he’s probably only a couple of fights away from a genuine world title fight!

Rain, rain go away

In 2018, only January saw more rainfall in the UK than November. Not the happiest of stats to highlight, but one that indicates we'll be experiencing a few downpours in the coming weeks, making a waterproof and spacious bag vital to tackle the unpredictable British weather.

Which do you prefer?

If you've ever been to a fancy dress party, we're sure you would have seen someone dressed as a golfer from the 19th century - plus fours, knee length socks and flat caps.

Spotlight | Callaway JAWS MD5 Wedges

What we love most about Callaway is that each time a new product comes out, it performs better than the one it replaces in the range - something we certainly noticed in the latest Mack Daddy wedges.
