Pettersen’s perfect closure...

I loved the Solhiem Cup, the girls gave us just as much excitement as any Ryder Cup! I don’t think the Americans realized how cold Scotland can be as they were all wrapped up in multiple layers.

So trust an ice-cold Swede in Suzaan Pettersen to sink that winning putt, what a summer of sport we have had!

Greenwood Stableford

The scoring was very good in the Greenwood Stableford, James ‘Jimbo’ Cole scored a huge 44pts getting him down to the elusive single figures as he went from 11 to 9.4 in Division 1. In Division 2 Dave ‘Dangerous’ MacDonald scored 42pts and in Division 3 David Mould scored 39pts. This week is a Parkland Medal.

The course has seen a noticeable improvement this year and the boys are starting to get on top of the bunkers this week. More have been re-sanded and on top of that, the heavy rough has had a good haircut.
