Hello readers, Conrad here this week, the 'film star' is on holiday but don’t worry he has left a video for you!
I’m very pleased to say that there is a lot of interest in the new offering from PING, the G30, we have fitting and trial clubs available for you, come and try them, see what you think and have a look on the PING website and watch Bubba in action. Click here to take a look.
I have two very special offers for you this week on TaylorMade OS Burner Irons, one set in steel shafts for men and one set in graphite shafts for ladies, each set will cost just £195, well below anything I could find on the internet, so grab a bargain!
We had a great entry sheet for the competition, a total of 50 in all. The weather was great , and the course in superb condition. Paul Osborne followed up his 2013 win, taking the title again with fine total of 42pts.
The prize giving was followed by our charity auction, again ably conducted by our resident auctioneer Ray Graydon, who did a fantastic job. The auction was well supported and the gathering very generous. It raised £474 with a further £125 donated in cash making a total of £499. The entrants fee for the competition was £500 with a further £88 raised by John Consterdine and Alan Harnett in the raffle. A great result for our chosen charity, and a great day had by all.
Regards
Keith Skilton Seniors Captain
East Horton Seniors vs Gosport and Stokes Bay
East Horton Seniors gained a hard fought victory over Gosport and Stokes Bay on Wednesday 20th August 4 - 2. The match was played in great spirit with compliments to our Seniors for their hospitality.
The team from 'The Bay' provided great compliments on the condition of the course especially after the hard work of the Management and staff over recent months. A great round of golf, the victory, hospitality, food and drink has once again promoted our club.
Congratulations and thankyou to all involved.
Tom Carr - Vice Captain EHGC Senior Section
This week's video is all about getting help with topping the ball - a very frustrating fault. It's a bit noisy with the wind at the beginning but it gets better! I need a sound man Nick Lowe?
I owe an apology to Ian Bastin, I said Steve Goater was in the winning Texas Scrabble team not Ian!
Ian said how could I make such an error when he is so much better looking than Steve!
