Amateur Ellis' Masters hopes Well Easter and the Masters has probably come too soon for us, but for one of my previous pupils, Harry Ellis, he gets to live the dream this week and tees off at Augusta in The Masters. He has had a few practice rounds now and I get the vibe he is ready to do well. Making the cut would be fantastic, to be the low amateur is the plan, and anything after that is 1500-1! Either way, it’s a hell of a story and one his mum just dared to believe! Click here to watch Harry being interviewed.

Continue to improve Gary Hague, who took me up on an offer for a one hour lesson a month, has started to see some positive signs of improvement. Gary was already a good player, but wanted to push on and lower his handicap this year. In our initial hour, we identified a few minor flaws that affected his distance control and dispersion. You can see from the below flight scope screens what two months of practice can give you, these are carry distances with a range ball, so you can add 8-10 percent on for a premium ball. Rain, rain go away! It’s hard to be positive, as there is just no let-up! It has to change, but I guess not yet with one inch in the last two days and more tomorrow. I've just had a farmer in to use the range, he is in turmoil too "how can I sow seed in flooded fields?” It’s tough but it will change soon!

Put your name up in lights |
It only comes around once a year and it’s that time again - Masters week! The first Major of the year takes place at Augusta National this week, which we always take as a sign that the season is getting underway. With this in mind, we have one question for you: are you ready to play your best golf this year? |
Maximise your potential We've all sat looking at the honours boards in a clubhouse before, admiring the one name that appears to be on most and thinking 'wow, they must be pretty good!' Well, how good would it feel if that name up in lights was yours? If you come and speak to us we can talk about your strengths, weaknesses and goals for this season and look at the best way to help you achieve them, whether that’s a one-off fault-fixer lesson, regular sessions to aid your consistency or perhaps a look at your equipment. |
