The club championship draw is now on the online booking system for this Saturday's championships. First tee time is 7.30 with 30 of the club's lowest handicappers playing 36 holes of scratch medal - a lot of golf and a lot of concentration!
The seniors section had a home match against Meon Valley this Monday and did it in style with the arrival of their new red team shirts, the boys won in style but the match was a well played draw.
I had a good hours session on the FlightScope with Nick Lowe. Nick is a solid single figure handicap golfer and wanted to use a competition winning voucher against a FlightScope session to see what all the fuss was about.
When you're a good player it's usually tweaks and not major swing changes that will make you a better player and that was the case with Nick. His natural swing path is in-to-out which is fine as long as the club face isn't open at impact, and when Nick's is he pushes the ball! So the plan is to use those good hands and stay square to fractionally closed through the ball to play with a nice draw and try and get in the mix for the championship!
