Well another perfect week for golf for players, but for the Greenkeeper he would like a drop of rain. Dan told me the following "Certainly courses are dry, as to be expected as we have had no rainfall since the 4th of April. 

Greens have generally bounced back well from aeration a month to two months ago, as we've applied over 120 tonnes of sand top dressing to them, and a few low nitrogen feeds. 

Deep rough has been topped with a second cut in operation this week on the longer areas. In the coming weeks, as the weather warms again we will start to pin growth back with growth regulators." Personally I think Dan and the boys are working a small miracle out there. 


 

May will see us dip our toes into something new, as golf evolves and moves with the times we are having out first speed golf event. 

It will be an 11 hole event on the parkland course, please contact me if you are up for the test, it's not a serious competition just a mix of a run while playing golf. Your time plus your score gives you your total score. 

The date for this is Tuesday 23rd of May in the evening and it's open to absolutely everyone.
