We All Need Everyone To Help

We all had a sit down and a chat in the week about bringing some fun and a more club like atmosphere back to the membership. There were lots of ideas that were debated about, such as night golf, a handicap championship or even matches like England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales matches.

I would like to see more of your family's up here especially if you have younger children, it's a friendly place and the par 3 course is underused, especially since as we have a potential generation of ipad and computer obsessed over weight kids that really need fresh air "mini rant over" can you tell it's my pet hate.

I would really like your thoughts weather its club matches, music nights, a summer ball or just more competitions. Now is the time to put in your say as we are about to do the fixture list. Please contact me with your thoughts.

 

No Rain For a While...

According to my weather sage, Dan the head greenkeeper says "that's it for the rain for a while" and he is confident that they will be no need for a trolley ban in the near future, but it's wet under foot but drying every day.

 

F7 Cobra One Length Irons

We have taken a delivery of what is going to be the talking point product of 2017 with Cobras single length irons. Amateur super star Bryson Dechambeau is the driving force behind the idea, a maths major in college and a maverick on the golf course he decided to adapt a set where every iron was the same length as a 7 iron, meaning each swing and set up was the same.

Cobra are now his sponsors and have developed his set, each club is cleverly engineered with loft and weight adjustments that give you the correct gapping between irons. We have a demo set available and I can tell you it's very easy to hit the long irons. I think the mental challenge is the long feeling 9 and wedge.
