Here we are at the end of another golfing year and overall a very positive one; 

- We have an excellent head green keeper in place who is doing a sterling job over our 250 acre 45 hole complex. 

- We have exciting developments for next year which I will tell you about in the spring.




On Monday the Seniors Section at East Horton held their annual Christmas Competition and presentation of the year's trophies. More than 50 members of the section braved the awful weather with many wearing seasonal jumpers and hats. The competition was won by new member Ian Chetwynd. 

Each year the seniors raise funds for their Captain's chosen charity. This year £4750 was raised for Wessex Heartbeat and our captain Ian Clements presented the cheque to Tina Richardson of Wessex Heartbeat. Tina said she was bowled over by the amount raised. Further contributions on the day lifted the total to around the £5000 mark! Ian has been a personal beneficiary of the charity and paid tribute to the work they do.

Ian also presented trophies to the winners of the year's major competitions including the 2016 Seniors Champion, Prem Sepala.

Congratulations to all our seniors for another very successful year.

If you want to play any Christmas competitive fun golf our annual Xmas Bash comp runs from the 20th of Dec to the 3rd of Jan. It's open to all the sections and you can play as many times as you like. There will be general play revisions for scores over 38pts. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 and you can only win one prize. 




We will have a big sale after Christmas and as I said before get your bargains now as the prices for next year in golf are noticeably higher.
