Well that's it we are out of Europe and out of the Euros so let's concentrate on the beautiful game that defiantly is not football.


 

The next men's trophy competition is the Parkland Trophy which is played over the weekend of the 9th-12th of July. 




On Monday 43 members of the seniors section took part in their Seniors Championship. 

Prizes were awarded for the best overall nett score (Steve Harbut), best nett score aged 65+ (Roy Langford), best nett score aged 70+ (Werner Terzer). But our 2016 Champion with the lowest gross score of 88 is Prem Sepala. 

The prizes were presented by our Vice Captain Dave Lyons. Prem, the winner is pictured. 




I am sure most of you know it's a very sad week for all of the staff, and lots of you members as its Anna's last week of work. 

She is the most cheerful and positive girl I know and the 7 years she has been here are gone in a flash, all the staff did all try and persuade her to stay most of all the pro shop who have been feed and watered with a smile every day. 

We all wish her an exciting and happy future in Mexico/Botley.




The flooding here last Thursday was incredible, for some reason the rain just dumped down on over Bishops Waltham and this caused the stream that runs through the course to breaks its banks in the most spectacular style!
