The boys who played in the Club Championship managed to find a rare rain free June day and battled hard for 36 holes of scratch medal. The 3 previous winners filled the top three spots with last year's champion and lowest handicapper Andy Venning take the title.

Next year's championship will run alongside a new tournament "The Tournament Winners Trophy" which will be in effect the Handicap Championship. To earn the right to play you need to come first in your division in one of the weekly competitions or win one of the trophies so you have from now to the first of May 2017 to book your spot. 

I would like some feedback as whether to play the 36 holes over one day or two, it will be 18 holes of medal on each course still.




And did you see the US Open? Famous more recently for incredibly fast greens and unplayable pin positions. But this year the amateurs in charge tried to spoil the event with a bizarre turn of events with eventual winner Dustin Johnson and the ball that moved? 

Pretty obvious to me that Dustin didn't cause the ball to move, unless his putter and ball are magnetic as the ball rolled backwards… The crazy part was that they waited till the 12th holes to stop him in play and tell him there MAY be a penalty.
