It seems like quite a few of you went to watch the golf at Wentworth. I've heard lots or stories of how easy they make it look… So there's your tip for the week! "swing the club easy and don't hit at the ball." When you try and inject power by forcing it from the top of your swing it ruins many a good shot. When the ball is in front of you we have a tendency to hit at it whereas your practice swing has no ball in the way so is generally a lot smoother. Try and transfer that swing thought into your actual shot this week and let me know how it goes.

Very pleased for winner Chris Wood as he comes across as a very genuine humble nice guy.

This video of highlights has some great slow motion swings. Look at the difference of angle of attack from wood to iron. Do you take a divot with your irons? If not you're doing it wrong and if you take one with a driver you really need to see me!



 
It's that time to enter the Club Championships as it's only a couple of weeks away!


 

Daniel has now got back on top of the rough and the course is looking great again. After a few comments about fairway widths and the punishing rough I had a game last week and my conclusion was that the Greenwood is a very tough test of golf!

I think the question a lot of you need to ask yourself is, should I really have this driver in my hand? Because there are quite a few holes where that is not a good call and the hole needs a position shot from the tee and a second shot from the fairway.
