The Anniversary Cup was played in testing conditions which suited the lower handicappers playing medal golf.
The top three were LiamSpencer nett 71 Second JonWhite and in first was one half of the pairs deadly duo GrahamDenham, with a gross 74 nett 69.
I have to take all of the credit as I sorted Grahams short game because he couldn't chip a tooth before our magical half hour!
Truth probably was he hit every green in regulation. The top 9 all have prizes to collect.
Seniors competition round up this week was the secretary's pairs it was played on The Greenwood on Monday 16 May. The event was well supported with 48 players. First place went to JohnConsterdine and BrianCann. The runners up were RickyJones and WernerTerzer.
Good news from the green keeper is that he has two more full time staff starting on Monday one very experienced and one very keen apprentice this will help enormously. I was going to write about the rough but I won't let's just say it's in hand and will be as Daniel and all of us want it.
