Well it's the last few days of the currant membership year and a frustrating one for us all, there's no doubt in my mind that Daniel coming as our head green keeper is massive step forward but the wettest winter in modern history certainly held back his progress and we can only hope now for a really nice summer and a long on at that.




 The membership packs are in the shop for you to collect and in there is the fixture list notable upcoming dates are the Anniversary cup 14th-15th of May and the Scratch tournament the Club Championship is the 18th of June and if you want to play in the Summer pairs or summer singles the closing date for entries is the 8th of May.

As its fresh start time here is a little video of tips for you it's always good to have a plan in your head and thoughts about the tempo of your swing. 

Hopefully you're all starting to enjoy a bit more golf now that we're into spring. In an effort to help you shoot lower scores, we'd like to share a few wedge play secrets. 

One of the biggest causes of loose ball striking is poor ball positioning. So… 

1. Check your ball is positioned correctly under your sternum (pictured below). 
2. Now, you need to stay balanced and avoid swaying with your backswing. Leaning back to help the ball up moves the bottom of your swing arc away from the ball. 
3. Once you're set-up correctly, it's about trusting the loft of your wedge to do its job. A good way to guarantee this is to take a divot after the ball, which should also help create spin for added control.
