There has been mixed news this week as Daniel and his team started green aeration on the parkland course. All was going very well until the 3/4 of an inch of rain we had on Tuesday night. This has unfortunately affected the top dressing that had been applied.
This type of core which is only 1/2" in diameter by about 1 1/2" long is all about thatch removal. It will in time make the already good greens even better, so unfortunately the Parkland greens won't be perfect this weekend, but rest assured the small holes will be dressed and knit together quickly.
I must be getting soft in my old age because I had to stop and take a picture of the sky on Monday morning as the bands of colours were interesting and very beautiful.
Not bad hey!
I've done a few excellent early season driver fittings so far this year.
Jon Moran swapped into the new Callaway XR Driver, and Shaun Lock moved from his TaylorMade R1 to the new PING G driver. The FlightScope data below shows the gains Shaun made. The figures for the R1 are on the top, and PING's fugures are below.
This doesn't show how straight he hit it however, so look out for their competition scores when we get going again...
