You know when the golf season really begins when the US Masters arrives. I don't think it was a vintage tournament but for sure the best man won, and it really wets the appetite to get out and play - though not on those greens, though I don't think many of our nerves could take that! Jamie in the bar must know his stuff as he picked Bubba as the winner and pocketed a few quid.
Our last major of the membership year is the Easter Cup, played over the Greenwood 18th-21st April and we are now taking names for the singles and pairs matchplay draw.
I've dusted of the clubs too and I've spent a bit of time on the FlightScope trying to find a good swing, the thing it's helped me with is swing path. I am prone to the odd hook when things go wrong but the FlightScope is helping me feel a swing that is slightly in to out, giving me a nice draw and when it goes wrong now it's a slight push. You can see my club head speed is about 100 mph which isn't very fast but the ball speed of 150 is good, giving me a decent carry through the air. Another figure that is good for me is the spin, I have a TaylorMade SLDR which has taken a 1000 rpm off down to just over 2000 rpm.
If you want me to help you gain a few yards and gain consistency I am here and ready. Click here to see how FlightScope can help your game.
And if any of you can help me with my putting I'm here and ready too.
